I’d like to thank everyone who signed my get-well-card this morning. I was able to play today because I went out and hit some balls on Tues and my hip flexor felt OK. It doesn’t seem to be getting any worse, so I’m taking it one round at a time. Even though my game has gone downhill, it’s still good to get out on the course.
Today’s top golfers were Mark Gerry with the best gross score (84) and Mike O’Brien with the best net score (63). Way to go guys.

Greetings fellow golfers,
I hope everyone had a great 4th of July. It looks like I’ll be taking some time off from golf for a bit. My hip flexor problem seems to get better when I don’t play and it acts up when I do, so if you don’t see me around much, that’s why. Maybe I’ll be back in a few weeks.
As most of you know, I’m a musician (I play for our golf Barbecues). I’ll be playing music for two hours at the Santa Paula Cruise Night event tomorrow (Fri) from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. It’s a car show sponsored by the S.P Police Department on Main Street and it’s free. If you’re in the area stop by and say hello.

The top golfers of today’s regular tournament were Rich Karas with an 81 gross score and Bob Sabedra with a 63 net. A hardy “way to go” goes out to these two as well as to the final four of the President’s Cup.

Greetings from the Virgin River motel in Mesquite, NV. I almost couldn’t get the results posted because I left my mouse at home.
President’s Cup results: Mike O’Brien beat Chuck McLaughlin today in the tie-breaker from last week. He then continued playing Dom Dinielle today and beat him. O’Brien will be playing for the championship next week. Ron Carpenter and Ron Laufer had to go to a 19th hole to decide the winner of their match. Carpenter chipped in for a 3 to beat laufer. Carpenter will play O’Brien next week for the championship.
The best golfer of today’s regular tournament was Thomas Tone with the best gross score (75) and the best net score (60). Way to go Thomas, Ron and Mike.

The results of the President’s Cups are as follows: Ron Laufer beat Earl Clark; Ron Carpenter beat Bob Escobedo; and Dom Dinielli beat Bob Sebedra. Chuck McLaughlin and Mike O’Brien tied and didn’t know it when they finished the round, so next week they will start out with a tie breaker. Dinielli will be included in their foursome. He will play whoever wins the tie-breaker. Laufer will be playing Carpenter.

There will not be a scramble next week due to the President’s Cup. We will have a regular tournament for those not in the Pres. Cup. More of Dick Kohnmann’s photos are posted below the results.

Regarding the President’s Cup, Rich Guzik couldn’t play today (against Laufer). Rick Karas was the 1st alternate, but didn’t show, so Charbonneau played Laufer. I updated the chart, so hopefully you can open it to view. In case you can’t, today’s winners were Laufer, Clark, Carpenter, Escobedo, Sebedra, Dinielli, McLaughlin and Obrien.
