RESULTS (MOUNTAIN VIEW TOURN.) 06-01-15
Congratulations goes out to our top golfer of the tournament. Gary Hibner had the top gross score with an 83 and the top net score with a 62. Way to go Gary. Hopefully everyone was pleased with their performance today. If you didn’t lose any balls to the river bottom, or to the lady of the lake, consider this a good day. To add to a great golf day, the free hamburgers were also very tasty.
Regards,
Bob Escobedo

RESULTS FOR 05-14-15
I decided not to play golf today in light of all the news reports of the coming storm. I didn’t want to look like a drowned rat after the tournament. My wife told me, “Don’t worry about looking like a drowned rat. With that beard of yours you’ll look more like a drowned porcupine.” Anyway, the fact that I received the tournament results with only one WD, means the rain must not have had that adverse of an effect on the group. The subject of rain leads us to this week’s quote:
“If you are caught on a golf course during a storm and are afraid of lightning, hold up a 1-iron. Not even God can hit a 1-iron.” — Lee Trevino
Our top golfer of the week was Jim Olguin. Not only did he have the top gross score with a 79, but he also had the top net score with a 56. Way to go Jim.

RESULTS FOR 05-07-15
One of my favorite quotes comes from the great University of Alabama head football coach, “Bear” Bryant. Among his many accolades, he won 6 national championships, 13 conference championships and had the record for the most wins as a head coach in collegiate football with 323 wins. He said, “It’s not the will to win that matters, everyone has that. It’s the will to prepare to win that matters.” — Paul “Bear” Bryant
Congratulations to our top golfers of the week. Richard Guzik had the top gross score with a 73. We had two golfers who tied for the best net score. Both Jerry Kehoe and Richard Wibbelmann had a 60. Way to go guys.

Bob Escobedo
