Congratulations to our two top golfers from the Westlake away tournament. Ron Carpenter had the best gross score with an 80, while David Escamilla had the best net score with a 60. Way to go guys. According to the weatherman on ABC Eyewitness News, rain was expected this morning. Luckily it didn’t rain, so the four-man scramble went off without a hitch. Congratulations to the team of Gonzales, Kary, Batterson and Dinie who took first place with a gross score of 65 and a net score of 52. Way to go guys. Also, being that next week is the 5th Thursday of the month, we will be playing a two best-ball tournament.

Despite the wind today, we still had a decent turnout. Remember, what the wind takes away on the drives against it, it gives back on the drives going with it. Today’s top golfers were Richard Guzik with a gross score of 83 and Gene Charbonneau with a net score of 63. Way to go guys.

Congratulations to this week’s top golfer. Jack Fenelon had the top gross score with an 81 and the best net score with a 62. Way to go Jack. The next away tournament will be held at the Westlake Golf Course in Westlake Village on Monday April 27th. The green fees are $ 37.50, cart included, to be paid at the clubhouse at check-in. A tournament fee of $ 10.00 is to be paid to Ron Laufer. The sign-up sheet will be available each Thursday prior to the tournament. The course is in good shape (executive-style) and hopefully we’ll have a good turn out.

Welcome to the newly improved Saticoy Seniors website. I took the posted photo a couple of months ago at the green to hole #4 looking west. The full-size photo is a lot more dramatic than this cut-down version because you can see a lot more of the sunset, but I had to make it fit into the slot. On another note, don’t forget we start at 7:30 AM next Thursday. Congratulations to the foursome of Richard Wibbelman, Jim Olguin, Michael Peltier and Angel Barraza who won the two-man best- ball tournament. Also, don’t forget to check out the nice photos of the Wedgewood luncheon submitted by Richard Kohnmann. Just click on the top right button under “recent posts”.
