On May 20, 2026, we lost one of our long time golfers, Gene Charbonneau. He died of numerous medical complications which normally occur after a long and successful life of 84 years. Gene was born in New York in 1941 but moved to Los Angeles where he was raised and graduated from high school. He and his brother, Bob, also a long time club member, were involved in a successful fire protection system company that completed many large scale projects, including the Ventura CMH. He lived in Camarillo and they raised 6 children, with his first wife Tony. After his divorce, he had a loving partner of 33 years, Barbara. Gene’s step daughter, Kim, married our own Jack Bonifield, and they had two kids together, which Gene was very fond of. Our club will be sending Gene’s family a condolence card, so please try to sign it if you are able. Please stay posted for upcoming information about the services and official obituary. Our deepest condolences, Saticoy Senior Men’s Golf Club.
