“They say golf is like life, but don’t believe them. Golf is more complicated than that”. — Gardner Dickinson, pro golfer who was a student of Ben Hogan. In his last win, at the 1971 Atlanta Classic, he beat Jack Nicklaus.
Dear fellow golfers,
Jack Fenelon sent me the following message with today’s scores: “…tell the group that I apologize for the two fivesomes. Both Gene and Tom were in the computer, but for some reason were not included in a foursome; so I had to scramble to get them in. Fortunately, Gary Hibner had a guest so I was able to add Tom there easily for scoring purposes. For the score on the other group, I arbitrarily deleted one player for each hole, so their score was only for a foursome on each hole.”
Don’t forget about our barbecue on Friday Sept 29th at the Mountain View Golf Course. Lots of good food, raffle prizes and good company.
The winning team of today’s 4-man 2-best-ball scramble was the team of Rudy Pena, Jerry Workman, Eugene Charbonneau, Bill Adams and Fred Rudy. The had a score of 53. Way to go guys.
Regards,
