Attention (Sr.) Golfers: the electric carts are back at Saticoy Regional;
and – tomorrow (1/26) is a scramble; plus it should be warmer!
Also – the range is open for short irons (150 yards and less).
See you there!

Hey Golfers! We are crawling our way back to tournament play! BTW-you should have seen Gene hit from the middle of the mud/water on #8 right onto the green, and he found 5 balls walking into it! We had 11 players today with 8 in a low net tournament. The low net and gross was from Pat Collins with a 66 & 80 – Congrats!
REMINDER – NEXT WEEK IS A SCRAMBLE, AND THEY SHOULD HAVE CARTS BY THEN – WE WILL SEND AN UPDATE EMAIL NEXT WEDNESDAY.
Golfers – sad but they say there won’t be electric (riding) carts available this Thursday for our tournament. They said it is possible for next week as they are trying to get some pumping equipment out there to drain the bunkers and ponds.
However – all golfers that will walk (9 or 18 holes) are encouraged to come out by 7 am and we will try to arrange some type of tournament challenge. Maybe one flight, maybe skins, but we won’t know until golfers show up.
SEE YOU THERE!
Hey golfers! We said “don’t hit out of ponds and flooded bunkers,” did anyone do that? We didn’t have a tournament today since there were no carts but 12 people showed up and walked (plus Laufer – but he played with his BFF’s)! I posted (to GHIN) scores for the following: Collins (82), Anger (94), Caldwell (107), and 9-hole scores for Rudy (46) and Gonzales (48). I didn’t get scores from everyone so if you want to, post yourself, or send me the “net double bogey” totals and I’ll do it.
Hopefully we’ll be back to a regular tournament by next week – check back here and email for updates!
Golfers! Sadly we’ve cancelled our tournament for Thursday, Jan 12, 2023 since the course management has indicated that electric (riding) carts will not be allowed. Ron Laufer played today and said the course was “OK” with some standing water and flooded bunkers. I will be there Thursday and will play, walking, with anyone that wishes to get out there and splash around. The pic below is the new pond on the 8th fairway!
Well – 2023 has started out a bit wet! I assume no one showed up today since I didn’t receive any cards. Hopefully, next Thursday, the 12th, can be a full tournament.
SEE YOU THEN…
Hey Golfers! Most of you missed a great round of golf today! It looked like it might rain but we didn’t see a drop after we tee’d-off! Since there were only 9 of us die-hards, we played a 1st and 2nd place low-net takes all. The winners were De Ache with a net 67 and a close 2nd by Fred Rudy with a 68 (those were the numbers after running thru the software) — Congrats! We handed out the cash with $25 and $20 for 1st and 2nd.
MERRY CHRISTMAS GOLFERS!
And the winner of our 1st (annual?) Christmas socks contest is — Ron Laufer; $5
In case it’s not obvious, Ron’s entry is the upper left image, and there’s no order for the rest but thanks to Fred, Ron C, and Phil. Congrats Ron Laufer!
As for the rest of the fun we had today: the winning scramble team was Ache, Gonzales, Bonifield, and Edwards with a 4 under 64 gross, 53 net — congratulations!
Hello Golfers – I hope that you are all getting ready for the Holidays! I heard some guys talking about using computers today and that reminded me of the cartoon above.
Well it started off pretty cold this morning, but one golfer managed to score both the low gross (80) and low net (67) – congrats Ed Maulhardt!
Reminder – next week is a scramble (and then, likely a 4-man 2-best ball on the 29th)!
Yes – the club does pay $100 to Hole-In-One winners! Congrats (again) to Steve Caldwell.
