“Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.” — Michael Jordan
This had to be the hottest and the most humid golf day of the year. It was a scorcher, especially for those who chose to walk the course. But like the Navy Seals say, “What doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger”.
At today’s Board meeting, the subject of entering tournament scores into the SCGA computer came up. For those new members that aren’t sure how this is done, all scores are entered by the Tournament Chairman. There is no need to enter your score since this will result in a duplicate entry.
Don’t forget about the club barbeque that’s scheduled for Friday September 25th. It’s only $ 10.00 per person and it will feature the one-and-only Joe Henry, BBQ Manager-Chef extraordinaire, on the grill (where can you get a BBQ dinner in this town for that price?). Come support the club and get some great eats. Also, we can always use some volunteers for set up between 9AM and 10AM on the day of the BBQ.
If you scroll down past the posted scores you’ll find the latest issue of the PARS-N-SCARS publication brought to you by Dick Kohnmann. Thank you Dick for the time and effort you put into this great publication.
Congratulations goes out to our two top golfers of the week. Richard Guzik had the best gross score with a 78 and John Gonzales had the best net score with a 63. This puts them in the lead for the Club Championships. I don’t have the results for the Super Seniors. Way to go guys.
I just happened to have a pic of this weeks two top golfers. I shot it a few months ago. It appears that John Gonzales (on right) is having a rules discussion with Richard Guzik who is our Rules Committee Chairman.
