RESULTS FOR 06-11-15

I read an interesting article the other day on famous accomplished people that we regard as champions or as successes. When we hear their names we only think of them as winners; people like Thomas Edison, Babe Ruth and Michael Jordan. But did you know that Edison failed more than 1,000 times before succeeding in making the incandescent light bulb. Babe Ruth struck out 1330 times and Michael Jordan missed more than 9000 shots in his career, lost almost 300 games and 26 times was trusted to take the game winning shot, and missed. Which brings me to the quote of the week:

“The difference between a master and a beginner is that the master has failed more times then the beginner has tried”. — Old martial arts proverb

Congratulations to our top golfers of the week. Richard Guzik had the best gross score with an 80. Fred Rudy had the best net score with a 63. Way to go guys. On another note, awhile back I received the honor of being recognized as the “most improved golfer” of the club. I have to attribute this accomplishment in part to the book my wife bought me (See photo. Click to enlarge).
