We had a great luncheon and meeting today at the Wedgewood. Here’s the latest news for those who did not attend. Manny Lopez, who worked at the Saticoy Golf Course as a groundskeeper, passed away Sunday. He was only 40 years old and leaves behind a wife and children. He was the employee that could be seen wearing orange headphones while he worked. When we held the usual raffle at the luncheon, all the winners chose to donate their cash prizes to help out Manny’s family. Approximately $ 400.00 was collected. Regarding the time change coming up for the start time of our tournaments, some members wanted to leave the time at 8AM, while others wanted to return to the 7AM start time. After a vote was taken, which resulted in a tie, it was decided that we would compromise. Beginning April 2, 2015, the start time for our tournaments will be 7:30AM. Other news: The skins money collected for each tournament will be divided equally among all the winners. For example, if there are 4 winners and $ 60.00 in skin money, each winner will receive $ 15.00. This method of payout will remain in effect for a 30 day trial run.

Congratulations to our two top golfers from this week’s tournament. Richard Guzik had the best gross score with a 76 and Rudy Pena had the best net score with a 58. Excellent play guys.
